Trauma is a fact of life. Most of us have been impacted by an overwhelming incident at some point. Somatic Experiencing might be right for you.

There is a tremendous amount of energy that is mobilized during a stressful event. Most often after the event our nervous system releases any unused energy and recovers. However, if the energy remains stuck or unable to discharge, symptoms may result. Some people report being unable to sleep, feeling hyper vigilant, easily startled and upset. If the trauma happened years ago clients may report more lasting or vague symptoms such as health issues or anxiety and stress related symptoms. The good news is that these symptoms can be resolved. Somatic Experiencing® is a gentle approach that resolves and discharges these symptoms resulting in a deep sense of well being. Somatic Experiencing is an extremely effective treatment for stress and trauma. As a Somatic Experiencing practitioner, I incorporate techniques to successfully restore full resiliency to the nervous system which promotes a deeply restored capacity for joy and freedom.
